What kid wouldn’t love to paint your front walk with chalk? It couldn’t be easier to create a chalky paint that goes on wet then dries opaque, just like sidewalk chalk. It’s the perfect activity for budding artists — and a ton of fun for the whole family.
Here’s what you need:
- Water
- Cornstarch
- Food coloring
- Paper cups
- Paintbrushes, rollers or sponges
Here’s what to do:
- Mix equal parts water and cornstarch until dissolved.
- If you’d like to make different colors, separate the mixture into a few paper cups. If not, put the whole mixture into one paper cup.
- Add a bit of food coloring to each cup.
Bust out your old paintbrushes, rollers or sponges and watch the kids’ creativity come alive outside.
