For the fifth year in a row, Child Care Resource Center President and CEO Dr. Michael Olenick has been named a top influential leader in the San Fernando Valley.
The San Fernando Valley Business Journal published in late July its list of 200 most influential leaders in the region. Dr. Olenick was featured in the list as a notable leader of an organization, a category that included the likes of Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp., Regional California Black Chamber of Commerce, and Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce, among others.
“I appreciate the recognition that I have received from the San Fernando valley Business Journal for the last five years,” said Dr. Olenick. “I think this is a recognition of the great work everybody at CCRC does. I am honored to represent the whole agency.”
In its profile of Dr. Olenick, the publication recognized his many affiliations; Child Care Alliance of Los Angeles County chair, California Child Welfare Commission; Zero to Three board member, and a member of the Los Angeles city/county Covid child-care task force. The profile also noted Dr. Olenick’s earlier recognition in CEO Publication as one of the 20 most dynamic CEOs in the United States.
Dr. Olenick has led the agency since 2003. He oversees all programs, projects, and services provided to over 50,000 children and families each month in a service area spanning 22,500 square miles. He is responsible for managing 1,000 staff and a $500 million budget.
