CPR and First Aid Classes
If you are in need of a CPR class to be in compliance with Community Care Licensing regulations, please visit our event calendar for our upcoming trainings or the Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) website for approved vendors. Class instruction can be virtual but must be real-time interaction with the instructor. However, skills practice and evaluation must be completed in person.
Whether you’re a professional caregiver, a teacher, or simply someone interested in acquiring lifesaving skills, our comprehensive training is designed to cater to all individuals who recognize the importance of these critical emergency response techniques.
How Much Does a CPR Class Cost?
EMSA-approved CPR classes are led by friendly and approachable instructors, designed to create a dynamic group learning environment. The investment for this life-saving training is $95 per person. To support groups in accessing this vital education, we offer a 10% discount for groups of six or more attendees.
How Long Do CPR Classes Take?
Approved Adult, Child, and Infant CPR along with California Child Care Pediatric First Aid training must be 8 hours in total, including 4 hours of Pediatric First Aid and 4 hours of Pediatric CPR.
CA Preventive Health and Safety Training
Child Care Facilities are required to have one person on-site at all times with proof of approved health and safety training. With generous funding from the California Department of Social Services, we offer free health and safety training for child care providers online. Participants will receive a certificate of completion.
We offer CA Preventive Health and Safety training virtually as allowed by EMSA. If you are looking to obtain your license, acquire a new facility license, or would like to certify new staff, we offer the 8-hour California Preventive Health and Safety training required by Community Care Licensing (CCL).
This course satisfies the training mandated by CCL, and covers key areas such as:
- Infectious disease prevention
- Injury prevention strategies
- Lead safety
- Nutritional health
Visit our Event Calendar for dates and information on our upcoming CPR and Preventive Health & Safety trainings.

Reimbursements for CPR and First Aid Classes and Preventive Health and Safety Trainings as available
The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Child Care and Development Division often grants CCRC funds to assist child care providers with the cost of CPR/First Aid and Health & Safety trainings.
These funds are limited and available for trainings approved by EMSA and completed during the period of July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024. Funds ARE NOT currently available.
When funds are available, we accept Reimbursement Requests digitally! Funds are typically not available until December and we make the online submission form accessible AFTER funds are available.
Please complete one form per person and upload ALL required documents along with your request form. Providers whose child care facilities are located in the San Fernando, Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys, as well as San Bernardino County (except for cities west of Fontana) are eligible for funds from Child Care Resource Center (CCRC).
Please note: We are unable to process requests outside of our service area.
