Quality improvement
High quality early learning experiences make a lasting difference - they help prepare children to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. In fact, studies have shown that children who
attend high quality early learning programs have better critical thinking skills, are better at engaging and cooperating with others, do better in reading and math, and are more likely to graduate from high school and have successful careers.

CRITICAL THINKING ENGAGEMENT MATH READING SUCCESS Continuous quality improvement is about creating processes, programs and systems in which early
childhood educators strive to increase positive outcomes for the children and families they serve.
CCRC is immensely in the quality ratings improvement system (QRIS) efforts in both Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties. Quality Start, funded by California Department of Education, First 5 California, First 5 Los Angeles and First 5 San Bernardino, provides child care providers and preschool teachers with FREE coaching, training, technical assistance and ongoing support to raise the quality of care in their environment.
The focus of the improvement efforts are reflective of the California Quality Continuum Framework Rating Matrix which looks at teacher-to-child ratios, learning activities environment, health and child development and staff training and education. Standards and measurements have been established to define what quality means for early care and education programs.
