Culture, Education, Community and Accountability
Goal 1: Culture
To ensure that leaders at all levels of our agency prioritize, promote, and implement DEI strategies and initiatives to maintain an inclusive workplace.
Strategies
a. Launch five Employee Networks (also known as Employee Resource Groups) for employees to build relationships across divisions.
b. Create a DEI plan for each of our divisions by working closely with each division leader and their respective teams and identify opportunities for divisions to collaborate.
c. Implement DEI presentations and workshops at annual events as well as employee orientation.
d. Conduct a language interpretation and translation service needs assessment to identify the languages children and families frequently communicate in and further support effective communication with program participants when utilizing services at CCRC.
e. Continue to recruit racially and ethnically diverse populations of professionals to reflect the communities we serve.
Goal 2: Education
To provide ongoing learning opportunities for employees at all levels to engage in DEI initiatives, encourage cross-divisional collaboration, and institutionalize DEI education.
Strategies
a. Create a DEI best practice repository and educational tools for all employees to have access to, including an inclusive language framework and glossary.
b. Launch in-house DEI certificate program, which will provide employees the opportunity to engage in a six-month cohort-style DEI learning course.
c. Implement DEI learning on our LMS as well as onboarding process.
d. Launch CCRC’s first DEI Conference that invites ECE leaders and advocates to learn more about DEI in their work.
