 Child Care Resource Center
 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The following document presents information on the current state of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at the Child Care Resource Center (CCRC). The Anti-Racist Taskforce (ARTF) with the support of our President and CEO began the process of taking a critical look at CCRC’s practices, policies, and procedures as it relates to the areas of DEI. Through surveys and company-wide programs, they realized the need for a DEI Division, which launched in January of 2022. After the DEI Division spoke with all Office and Division leaders and reviewed demographic data and trends, they designed a set of overarching goals, objectives, and action items for each division and overall agency.
CCRC’s DEI Strategic Plan is based on the change we want to see in our agency’s culture
as we commit to education on DEI concepts, create more community amongst each other, institutionalize metrics of accountability (CECA), and reimagine a workplace that embeds diversity, equity, and inclusion in all we do. CCRC recognizes that the land where many of our staff members live and work belongs to the Kitanemuk, Chumash, Fernandeño Tataviam, and Tongva (Gabrieleno) peoples. We commit to acknowledging, celebrating, and honoring Indigenous communities.
A sound equitable agency will look like data excellence, a DEI plan for each of our divisions, and equitable access to opportunities for all we serve. Our DEI goals require we be intentional, innovative, and bold as well as aim to be an exemplar for others to follow. As we lead internally and externally, our unique mission and willingness to do for others through a DEI lens will continue to create equitable spaces for all within the early childhood education field
