In collaboration with the Resource & Referral
Agencies across Los Angeles County and funding from
First 5 LA and LAUP, CCRC increased the capacity of
early childhood educators to provide quality care by
providing training through the Gateways for Early Educators
ProgramTM. CCRC’s Research Division’s evaluation of the
program highlighted many successes including participants’
professional and educational achievements, the program’s wide
geographical reach across the county, and its inclusiveness of a
diverse group of early childhood educators including license-exempt, family child care and center-based providers. Program successes and partnerships resulted in CCRC’s capacity to continue to build early childhood educators’ capacity to provide quality care through Quality Rating and Improvement System, Quality Start Los Angeles.
