CCRC and the Lancaster JetHawks invite children of all ages, child care professionals, businesses, schools, and community organizations to bring literacy awareness to the Antelope Valley. The event offers a 5K run, walk or stroll, distribution of fresh fruits and vegetables, a free book for every child in attendance, and plenty of activity booths with crafts, music, and excitement. Event attendance ranges from 2,500 to 3,000.

Winter Toy and Book Drive
(October – December)
Every child deserves a happy holiday and CCRC strives to put books and toys in the hands of the families we serve. We encourage you to help collect toys and books and make a donation at this time of year that brings joy and happiness to all families. Over the past few years, CCRC distributed close to 5,000 age appropriate toys and 5,000 books to families in Antelope Valley.

or sports team.
