Executive Summary
 Continue workshops throughout Los Angeles County to impact a greater number of early childhood educators, parents, and children.
 Create information specific to the early childhood educators and their situations.
 Facilitate groups and networks for early childhood educators using GIS (Geographical Information Services) technology to create maps of provider communities.
 Support R&R agencies with more resources (staffing and time) and GIS-identified groups.
 Explore effective use of technology to ensure information is widely available and to facilitate quick communication between R&R agencies and early childhood educators.
 Conduct research to document the process to convene emergency preparedness advisory or network groups around disaster preparedness and response.
 Conduct research to compare the sustainability and use of the information when early childhood educators attend one workshop compared to those who attend workshops annually, and to compare the emergency-related knowledge and skill levels of those who participate in emergency preparedness advisory group with those who do not.
 If California regulations are changed to require early childhood educators to participate in emergency preparedness training in order to get licensed, compare levels of preparedness among licensed child care providers before and after that change takes place.
