Message from the President & CEO
Child Care Providers,
On June 24, 2015, California Governor Jerry Brown signed the 2015/16 State Budget. The California Legislature with leadership from the California Legislative Women’s Caucus was successful in securing additional investments above the Governor’s May Proposals to provide the following increases:
• 4.5% increase in the Regional Market Rates paid to all providers in the Alternative Payment (AP) and CalWORKs programs based on their current rates effective October 1, 2015
• 5% increase to the Standard Reimbursement Rate for State Contracted Child Development Centers effective July 1, 2015
• 6,800 additional Alternative Payment Program slots effective July 1, 2015
We worked really hard to get this necessary increase and will continue to work hard to increase the pay that you all deserve. CCRC’s own Director of Government Relations, Donna Sneeringer, and I worked diligently to bring our knowledge of child care providers, children, parents and families to decision makers at the local, state and federal government.
We are also excited to announce that CCRC will host its 1st Annual Family Play Day in Victorville on Saturday, November 14th, 2015 at our new Victorville office located on 15456 West Sage St, Victorville, CA 92392!
