Module 2 – How Trauma Impacts Development, Part 2 [TIC]

The Bridge Program – Trauma Informed Care Team at CCRC offers Trauma Informed Care training to child care providers in various settings.

This workshop is part of an 18-hour training series comprised of six 3-hour modules that begin with brain development and end with building resilience.

Child care providers report an increase in understanding how trauma impacts development and learning trauma informed strategies that effectively help address problem behaviors.

In Module 2 – How Trauma Impacts Development, Part 2 we will focus on how trauma impacts development. We will: 

• Address how the stress response system activates and what this looks like in children 0-5.
• Cover the sensory system, how trauma impacts it and understand the sensory input that is being received.
• Discuss Adverse Childhood Experiences and how these have a lifelong impact.
