Message from the President & CEO
 Dear Friends and Supporters,
2011 was a time of celebration, challenge and change. It has probably been the most difficult year that I have faced since becoming the CEO of CCRC 8 1⁄2 years ago. In September, we commemorated 35 years of meeting our mission but we, as an individual agency and as a nation, are sadly serving fewer children and families than we did a year ago due to the severe budget crisis.
Since the beginning of the Great Recession in 2008, we have been devastated as over 2,000 licensed family child care home providers and 160

Yet, I have great optimism that CCRC will continue to provide great service and develop innovative programs to children, families, child care providers and the community.
While the non-profit world as a whole has struggled to find it’s footing in these difficult times, CCRC has a clearly defined path to provide quality programs that are efficiently and effectively managed and delivered. We have worked diligently over the past several years to deepen the breadth and depth of the services that we offer and we continue to look for new opportunities to generate income so that we can continue to address our community‘s needs. Our continued growth and commitment to stretch and meet the challenges of Los Angeles’ children and families speaks to the dedication we have demonstrated throughout the course of our 35 year history.
As always, we strive to improve service delivery, dream bigger and help more children and families. CCRC is able to continue this essential work through the help and funding of our supporters – those who contribute in small individual ways and those who offer substantial funding.
We look forward to serving the community for many more years.
Thank you for your continued support. President & CEO
