Great news! CCRC has been awarded the California Department of Education’s contract to provide services and resources to parents, their children, and child care providers in San Bernardino County beginning
April 13th, 2013.
We are pleased to expand our expertise and a plethora of
high quality programs and services to San Bernardino County.
We know that children who experience interactive, safe and
educational environments in their formative years achieve
higher levels of success in life. We will continue our mission of supporting children and families as we have done for almost 40 years.
CCRC currently provides services for 30,000 parents, their children and child care providers each month in Northern Los Angeles County and we expect to provide services to an equivalent number of clients in San Bernardino’s 20,000+ square miles. Programs at our locations in Victorville and San Bernardino will include helping parents find child care, child care financial assistance, lending resource libraries, training and technical assistance for parents and providers, and more. Through this transition, we want to assure you that you will not experience any disruption in the level of service you currently receive.
As we expand, we want to help you expand your services as well! This issue will help you do just that with new trainings and programs to improve your quality of care.
On Page 3, you will learn How to Prepare, Respond and Recover by attending CCRC’s emergency preparedness training for child care providers offered at no cost to you and you will receive a FREE toolkit!
Also, don’t miss out on new training opportunities including First 5 LA’s 21st Century Dental Home Project through UCLA – attend the workshop and improve your knowledge of children’s oral health needs. Our newest partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Public Health is to reduce early childhood obesity and improve nutrition physical activity in child care settings. See Page 5 for more details.
I encourage you to read the rest of this issue. It is packed with updates, information, trainings, event dates, delicious spring recipes, and a fun activity!
We look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free contact us if you have any questions, comments or ideas
