 LA Reducing Obesity in Child Care Settings (LA ROCCS)
LA ROCCS is a Los Angeles County-wide project funded through the Department of Public Health to reduce early childhood obesity and improve nutrition and physical activity in child care settings.

First 5 LA’s 21st Century Dental Home Project through UCLA
The goal of the Dental Home Project is to improve parents’ and caregivers’ knowledge of children’s oral health needs and available community resources through outreach and training of child care providers in targeted communities.
Preventive oral health measures, including early establishment of a dental home (ideally by age one), periodic caries-risk assessments, anticipatory guidance, oral health counseling, and clinical preventive services (e.g., topical fluorides and sealants as indicated) are essential for optimal oral health throughout childhood and beyond.
CCRC’s Dental Home Project opportunity includes:
 rkshops on promoting children’s oral health to child care providers
 Offer technical assistance to providers on improving nutrition and physical activity policies and practices
