Community Overview
Nestled in the high desert region of San Bernardino County, Victor Valley is comprised of the incorporated cities of Victorville, Hesperia, Apple Valley and Adelanto, as well as 15 unincoporated communities with populations under 20,000 each. The growing need for CCRC’s programs and services to just under 400,000 residents recently led to an expansion of office space and staff.
Families looking for child care requested 2,003 referrals, over 1,000 community residents participated in our first Play Day Event at CCRC’s centrally located office in Victorville, and 42 early care providers attended a professional development institute with interactive workshops offered in movement and music, literacy, inclusion, and special needs. Community volunteers came out to help collect and wrap books and toys that were distributed to children in need during the holiday season.
