Community Overview
The San Fernando Valley is where it all began, covering approximately 280 square miles and the greatest population within our service area. The community has a diverse population with the median age being 32 years old.
For over 20 years, we have provided comprehensive quality
preschool experiences for three-and four-year old children at
Head Start locations across the Valley and this year alone,
over 12,700 child care referrals were processed by phone, in person, or through our online referral search.
The San Fernando Valley is unique as it serves as our original home and headquarters. All of our major programs are represented in Chatsworth as well as Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, Communications and Research & Evaluation. We also operate an in-house, full service design and print shop, Creative Bridge that brings client stories to life in print.
