Annabelle Godwin Memorial Library
Our book, toy, and resource library is an amazing place for parents, children, child care providers, and students to play, explore, discover, and learn – for free! As one of CCRC’s founding mothers, Annabelle Godwin’s commitment to positive early care and education programs continues to benefit thousands of residents in the greater San Fernando Valley. Visitors have access to age appropriate toys and books, weekly story time sessions, and Vroom activities and the brainy science behind them. Kaleidoscope Play and Learn, our newest program, works with parents and child care providers to support them in preparing children for success in school and life. The program promotes quality early childhood experiences with a weekly curriculum based on a topic provided by the California Child Care Resource & Referral Network.

CCRC was selected to be one of 10 U.S. Vroom Ambassadors. Working with Child Care Aware of America, we empower parents and caregivers to help develop a child’s brain. Vroom was developed by the Bezos Family Foundation to increase parent and child interaction by turning every day moments into brain building opportunities. To further this initiative, Bezos developed the Daily Vroom mobile application designed with over 1,000 age appropriate interactions. Together with resource and referral agencies across the nation, we are working to introduce the Vroom experience to parents and community members across our service area.
