 LOOKING TO THE FUTURE
Recently, the LA County Resource & Referral (R&R) agencies partnered with the California Early Care and Education Workforce Registry (Registry) to integrate statewide competencies with the NEW Gateways for Early EducatorsTM Passport learning areas. This collaboration will enable the R&Rs to post the trainings they provide in a central location and to consistently track participants’ training accomplishments in the Registry across the county.
The NEW Gateways Passport will track the completion of training hours in each of the 12 California ECE Competency Areas.
HOW DOES THIS CHANGE AFFECT ECE PROFESSIONALS?
Here’s what you can expect when you sign-up for a Registry account at www.caregistry.org: • The ability to search and view the Gateways training calendar.
• You can register for Gateways trainings offered across L.A. County.
• Training hours will be recorded in the Registry.
• You can check on training goals attained with a customized virtual version of the NEW Gateways Passport. • Run personalized Education and Training Reports.
• Use the Resume Builder.
• View the Job Board.
