CHILD CARE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE ACHIEvING FAMILY WELL-BEING
CCRC’s child care financial assistance programs offer low-income parents an achievable pathway to find and maintain employment, receive training or further their education, as well as a way to decrease
dependence on public assistance.
Parents who qualify receive financial support for child care, early education and after school programs. We assist them in locating quality environments that offer children the opportunity to grow, learn and be
cared for in a safe setting that is developmentally appropriate while meeting the family’s needs.
With generous funding from the California Department of Education and Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services, thousands of families are strengthened through greater

economic, personal and social outcomes every year.
I am sending a photo of “Richard’s Graduation” and letting you know that last Friday Richard took a test prior to entering Kindergarten at Stagg Street School. I asked the teacher giving the test “why the test”? She said that there were two classes with different instruction requirements for the
student’s ability level. After the test the teacher asked if Richard had gone to
preschool. When I answered “yes” she said that Richard had an extremely high level of comprehension on all the tests and he was “A” class material. We feel that the money and time spent by CCRC made this possible. We sincerely thank you and the others at CCRC for your contributions toward making him the person he is.
