Mobile Eye Exams | April 9, 2016
In collaboration with Antelope Valley Optometric Center and VSP Mobile Eye Care Clinics, 62 parents and 44 children in the Antelope Valley received free comprehensive eye exams. VSP Mobile Eyes has dedicated three mobile eye care clinics to offer eye exams with the latest technology. CCRC was chosen to host an event for those in the community with the highest need. For clients who needed prescription lenses, VSP Mobile Eyes was able to make the glasses on site to take home that same day. We thank all who helped give the gift of sight.

Laughs4Literacy | June 14, 2016
Over the past eight years, we have successfully distributed over 350,000 books in Antelope Valley through our resource library, early childhood programs and great events including Education Day and Laps4Literacy. This year, we introduced a night of comedy and fundraising at Lucky Luke’s Brewing Co., where over 100 attendees enjoyed a few hours of laughs, food, and raffle prizes. The event raised nearly $8,000 dollars to support ongoing child and family literacy efforts.
