Trauma-Informed Support
The Emergency Child Care Bridge Program was established to help resource families and child care providers successfully care for foster children. Trauma-Informed Care services offer training and consultation support child safety, well-being, and permanency. CCRC staff provided one-to-one coaching, group trainings, and trauma-informed care to 778 participants, including those involved in the Bridge Program.
Coaches began utilizing the Learning Genie Database application for DRDP child assessment tracking in collaboration with child care providers entering observations to complete child assessments. 30% of providers used Learning Genie to capture children’s activities and observations.
I am excited that Trauma Informed Care training is offered at the San Bernardino office because we providers need to learn to deal with how to help foster children.
