         BEES PROGRAM
Social and emotional development are critically important in a child’s early years and have lasting impacts on the way a child deals with stress and builds relationships later in life. CCRC’s Building Early Education Strategies (BEES) program aims to support child care providers, children, and their families in ways that help strengthen the child’s social and emotional development.
BEES follows the guidelines created by Georgetown University’s Center of Excellence for Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation. The three fundamental goals of BEES are to:
• Assist child care providers in building upon their skills and knowledge to support the social and emotional development of children.
• Support the child’s caregiver in ways that increase understanding and awareness about social and emotional development of children.
• Collaborate with child care programs to establish equitable and inclusive practices to support the mental health of infants and young children and families.
Consultations are currently available to child care providers in the Antelope Valley. We offer virtual and over the phone consultations, as well as in-person meetings at a safe and confidential such as a Head Start Center, Child Care Center, Family Child Care Provider Home, or a Friends, Family and Neighbors location.
