Advocacy encompasses a wide range of activities that influence decision makers. Advocacy includes traditional activities such as public education. It can also include capacity building, relationship building, forming networks, and leadership development. CCRC regularly participates in a variety of public meetings and engagements to discuss the access and affordability of child care.
Geographic Information Systems, Research, and the Communications Departments create local, state, and federal district maps to access areas in need. Decision makers can view child care sites, child care recipients, and child care providers. These easy to understand impactful materials support advocacy and promote evidence-based decisions that support families and communities. Our current service area includes 11 Congressional districts, nine State Senate districts, and 13 State Assembly districts.
