CCRC analyzed change scores for those who had room to grow in knowledge or awareness; those whose knowledge about an item before the workshop was the highest level were not included in the analyses. Most attendees reported an increase in their knowledge or awareness (see Figure 2).

Figures 3–12 include all participants, including those whose knowledge base was at the highest level prior to the trainings. At the end of the trainings, most participants (97 % or more) rated themselves as Fair or Great in each of the areas of knowledge or awareness queried.
    Knowledge of how to plan and prepare for a variety of emergencies and disasters.
Knowledge of how to make and use a disaster plan
Knowledge of how to keep information needed for an emergency up to date
Knowledge of how to keep information such as what is needed for each child during an emergency
Knowledge of how to identify and contact important resources in my community after an emergency
